Gold Star Canyon is located in the Colorado National Monument, near our home. My husband and I enjoy hiking this canyon for its beautiful red rock cliffs and surrounding scenery. I thought it would be interesting to create a piece based on the topographic patterns of this area. This is my rendition of the topography map of one of my favorite places.
